Monte Palmeto, the descent

Monte Palmeto, the descent

In my previous post, MTB ride to the top of Monte Palmeto, I wrote about the climb and I’ve posted links to routes on Strava. In this blog post I’ll show you what kind of landscape and views you can expect on the descent.

The descent from the top of Monte Palmeto is pretty fast, with not too many sharp turns. And if you like speed, you’ll thoroughly enjoy the last stretch, which is particularly fast.

I’ll end this post with a video my buddy “Caimano made” during his KOM downhill ride. He’s going crazy fast! But first the pictures…

The first kilometer is the slowest stretch of the descent and you’ll actually have to pedal a lot to keep your speed high.

This is where you’ll pick up speed.

My buddy Caimano mounted a GoPro on his handlebars and did the fastest Strava downhill so far. NB Don’t try this at home…try it on Monte Palmeto (but be careful)! Hold on to your helmet, here we go!
